Richard V. Grimes, Jr. concentrates his practice in estate planning
and administration, trust, banking, real estate, and municipal
law. He is a 1973 graduate of Washington and Lee University
School of Law and received a B. A. Degree from Ohio Wesleyan
University. Richard was engaged in a general civil practice
in Piqua, Ohio and was a partner in the law firm of McCulloch,
Felger, Fite, and Gutmann until his relocation to Berks County
in 1987.
Richard is admitted to the practice in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania, in the State of Ohio, and before the U.S. District
Court. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Berks County Bar
Association, and a former Chairman of the local Bar Admissions
Committee, and past Chairman of the Senior Citizen's Booklet
Committee. Mr. Grimes worked for several years in the banking
industry as an attorney and with various trust departments and
is a past bank board member.
Richard has served on numerous committees and boards including
the Dettmer Hospital Foundation and St. Joseph Hospital Foundation,
the Berks County Estate Planning Council, and the Berks County
Senior Citizens' Council. Mr. Grimes is a past borough council
member and solicitor and currently is an adjunct professor at
a local area college. Mr. Grimes resides in Jefferson Township
with his wife, Bonnie, and has two adult children.
