Christopher J. Hartman concentrates his practice in municipal, real estate, zoning and land use, estate planning and administration, and business law. Mr. Hartman is the Solicitor for Bernville Borough Zoning Hearing Board, Brecknock Township, Borough of Boyertown, Centre Township Zoning Hearing Board, Centerport Borough Zoning Hearing Board, Jefferson Township, Borough of Lenhartsville, Lower Heidelberg Township, North Heidelberg Township, Penn Township, Robeson Township, and Tulpehocken Township.
Chris was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. He received
his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Virginia,
with Distinction, and his law degree (J.D.) from the University
of Pennsylvania Law School in 1987. Following his graduation
from law school, Chris became associated with Piper & Marbury
in Washington, D.C. from 1987 to 1989. Chris was then appointed
by the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia, from
1989 to 1992, as a Staff Attorney in the Office of the Legislative
Counsel, and then as Deputy Legislative Counsel. Upon his return
to the United States, Mr. Hartman was associated with the Reading
law firm of Roland & Schlegel, P.C., where he was engaged
in a general civil practice until the formation of Hartman,
Hartman, Howe & Allerton, P.C. in 1998.
Mr. Hartman is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia and the Federated
States of Micronesia. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and
Berks County Bar Associations. Chris served as Chairman of the
Agricultural Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association
from 2000 to 2002. He was Chairman of the Senior Citizen Booklet
Committee of the Berks County Bar Association in 2000 and 2001.
In 1997 he chaired the Municipal Law Section of the Berks County
Bar Association. Chris also is Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rated.
Chris is married and currently resides in Bern
Township.
