Bethany W. Emkey’s practice is focused on municipal and real estate law, employment law and wills, estates and trusts.  Prior to joining Hartman Shurr in 2008, Bethany served as law clerk to the Honorable Stephen G. Baratta of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas.  She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from New England School of Law, during which time she clerked with the United States Attorney’s Office, Civil Division, and served as Managing Business Editor for the New England Journal on Civil and Criminal Confinement. She is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA.

Bethany is admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a member of the Berks County, Northampton County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.

Bethany resides in Sinking Spring, Berks County, with her husband, Steve.
